Emirates on Thursday announced an order for 15 additional Airbus A350-900s at the Dubai Airshow 2023, worth $6 billion. This takes Emirates’ total A350 order book to a total of 65 units. Oil prices dropped more than 5 per cent on Thursday to their lowest in four months, as investors worried about global oil demand following weak data from the US and Asia. Brent futures fell $4.38, or 5.4 per cent, to $76.80 a barrel by 1:02 p.m. EST (1802 GMT). US West Texas Intermediate crude (WTI) shed $4.27, or 5.5 per cent, to $72.39. A Pakistan high court on Thursday extended until November 20 the stay against the jail trial of former prime minister Imran Khan in the cipher case. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) bench comprising Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz extended the stay during the hearing of 71-year-old Khan’s intra-court appeal against the jail trial. The appeal was filed against a single-member bench of the same court which last month upheld the trial of Khan in the Adiala Jail Rawalpindi where he has been incarcerated.
