Dubai-based real estate developer Azizi Developments donated Dh600 million to the Mother’s Endowment Campaign to build a campus that will accommodate more than 5,000 students from kindergarten to Grade 12. India’s aviation watchdog has deferred a June 1 deadline for airlines to adopt new rules on rest and duty times for pilots, a notice on its website showed, but without stating a reason or a new target date. Tuesday’s news followed a warning from a key airline lobby group, reported last month by the Economic Times newspaper, that the scramble to meet the new rules could force cancellation of up to one-fifth of flights. The 14th group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients arrived in the UAE on Wednesday in response to the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed to provide medical treatment for 1,000 wounded children, and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip, in the UAE’s hospitals. Crude oil production has started at Abu Dhabi’s Belbazem offshore block, the first joint venture between the UAE’s ADNOC and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPCC), state-owned ADNOC said on Wednesday.
