Dubai’s renewed vision for global leadership is embodied in the decision to preserve its urban appearance.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

 Thursday, October 23, 2025

Walid Al Zarooni, Chairman of W Capital Real Estate Brokerage, praised the decision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, to form the Dubai Civility Committee, for Preserving Dubai’s Urban Appearance.

He emphasized that the decision embodies the ambitious vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for Dubai to be the best, most beautiful, most sophisticated, and most civilized city in the world.

Al Zarooni said that this initiative reflects the depth of the renewed leadership thinking that places people and the urban environment at the heart of sustainable development. He noted that the formation of the committee represents a new strategic step towards enhancing Dubai’s competitiveness as a model city that combines modernity, sustainability, and beautiful urban design.

“The wise leadership is always keen to develop the city’s ecosystem in line with the highest international standards and enhances the quality of life and well-being of citizens, residents, and visitors. This decision represents an extension of Dubai’s vision to build an integrated urban environment that reflects its position as a global icon in urban planning and smart management of public spaces,” he said.

Al Zarooni believes that the decision will have a broad positive impact on various economic sectors, most notably the real estate, tourism, and commercial sectors. He noted that preserving the city’s civilized appearance enhances the city’s investment attractiveness and increases global investor confidence in Dubai as a destination that offers superior standards in design, organization, cleanliness, and overall aesthetics.

“Dubai’s distinguished modern infrastructure, smart roads, and exceptional architectural projects provide a solid foundations for the success of the new committee’s mission. Advanced capabilities in smart city management, monitoring systems, and the quality of public services will contribute to raising work efficiency and achieving the desired goals with speed and precision,” he added.

Al Zarooni explained that cooperation between government, semi-government, and private entities will be a key component of the initiative’s success, as Dubai’s civilized appearance reflects a shared societal culture that places beauty, order, and cleanliness at the forefront of everyday values.

He pointed out that this step complements existing efforts to improve the quality of life in the emirate and enhance its attractiveness as an environmentally friendly city, in line with the Dubai Sustainability Strategy and Vision 2040, which aims to build a green city that balances people and nature.

“The new decision will enhance Dubai’s position as a global center for advanced urban thinking and consolidate its image as a city shaping the future, not only through skyscrapers and mega-projects, but also through attention to the fine details that make a difference in the urban landscape,” the CEO said.

“We at W Capital believe that this initiative will positively impact the real estate market by increasing demand for residential and commercial properties in areas witnessing advanced urban and regulatory development. It will also enhance international investors’ confidence in Dubai as an integrated urban environment that combines luxury, quality, and sustainability. This step represents a practical translation of Mohammed bin Rashid’s vision for Dubai to be the world’s best city in terms of beauty, sophistication, and urban integration,” he concluded.
