It’s not just phones. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watches are getting pricier, too.

Samsung’s rumored 2026 hardware lineup is beginning to resemble a coordinated attack on your wallet.
Leaks have already suggested that some of its upcoming Galaxy Z foldables could get more expensive. Now, the Galaxy Watch lineup may be joining the price-hike party.

According to WinFuture, Samsung could raise European prices across the entire Galaxy Watch 9 lineup and the upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The increases reportedly fall between €30 and €50, depending on the model. The cheapest Galaxy Watch 9 may start at €409 for the 40mm Bluetooth version. Add LTE, and the price reportedly climbs to €459. The larger 44mm model could cost €439 with Bluetooth or €489 with LTE. It gets worse with the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, which may now land at €749, placing another €50 between buyers and Samsung’s most capable smartwatch.

Galaxy Watch 9 may track everything except your budget

These are leaked German prices, so they cannot be converted directly into expected US pricing. They still show the direction Samsung may be heading, and that direction points upward. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 will reportedly look similar to the last-gen Watch 8, while the Watch Ultra 2 is expected to get a revised numbered bezel and new color choices.

Rumors point to larger batteries throughout the lineup, including a potentially substantial capacity increase for the Ultra 2. Samsung is also expected to move to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, which should improve performance, efficiency, and on-device AI capabilities.

Last year’s watches could become the smarter buy

The Galaxy Watch 8 was already a premium smartwatch. Raising the entry price beyond €400 pushes Samsung’s standard model further away from casual fitness trackers and towards more premium wearables like Apple Watches. Just recently, the Galaxy Watch 8 dropped to just under $220, which made it a great deal and an easy recommendation.

Samsung has yet to confirm the watches, their specifications, or their prices. The lineup is expected to debut at an upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in July. Until then, anyone considering a Galaxy Watch may want to watch current models closely.
