Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai Expands Future-Focused Academic Portfolio with New Health Sciences, MBA, and BTech Programmes
University unveils new specialised MBA programmes, launches BTech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and introduces the Manipal Institute of Health & Life Sciences (MIHLS) as part of major expansion into AI-driven healthcare, biotechnology, engineering, and future-focused business education
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – June 04, 2026: As the UAE accelerates investments in healthcare innovation, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, automation, and future-focused industries, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai has announced a major expansion of its academic portfolio with the launch of several undergraduate and postgraduate programmes designed to prepare students for the jobs and industries of tomorrow.
The expansion reflects MAHE Dubai’s strategic commitment to developing industry-ready graduates equipped to meet the evolving workforce demands of the UAE and the wider region, particularly in high-growth sectors such as robotics, artificial intelligence, public health, biotechnology, genomics, healthcare management, digital business, and financial services.
As part of this expansion, the university has officially introduced the Manipal Institute of Health & Life Sciences (MIHLS), formerly known as the School of Life Sciences, alongside a new portfolio of specialised programmes spanning robotics and AI, public health, bioinformatics, banking, marketing, analytics, and business leadership.
Among the newly introduced programmes are the Bachelor of Public Health and MSc Bioinformatics under MIHLS, designed to prepare students for emerging careers at the intersection of healthcare, technology, research, and community wellbeing. The university has also introduced the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, a future-focused engineering programme designed to equip students with expertise in automation, intelligent systems, machine learning, robotics engineering, and AI-driven technologies. Further strengthening MAHE Dubai’s portfolio of industry-aligned postgraduate programmes, the university has also launched new specialised MBA offerings including MBA (Core), MBA (Marketing), and MBA in Banking and Financial Services.
The launch marks a strategic milestone in MAHE Dubai’s long-term vision to build one of the region’s most innovation-led multidisciplinary education ecosystems combining academic excellence, industry integration, emerging technologies, research capability, and employability-driven learning.
Commenting on the course expansion, Dr. S. Sudhindra, Pro Vice Chancellor of MAHE Dubai, said: “Higher education today must anticipate the future rather than react to it. Industries today are being reshaped by artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology, data science, sustainability priorities, and rapidly evolving workforce expectations. The UAE is emerging as one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems driving this transformation, and universities must evolve alongside it. At MAHE Dubai, we are building programmes that prepare students not just for existing jobs, but for emerging industries and future leadership roles.”
“The introduction of MIHLS forms part of MAHE Dubai’s broader long-term strategy to expand its allied health and life sciences portfolio through industry-led education, advanced laboratory infrastructure, research integration, and enhanced clinical and practical learning opportunities. Simultaneously, our new engineering and MBA programmes are designed to produce agile, globally minded professionals equipped to navigate increasingly complex business and technology environments shaped by analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, and innovation,” he added.
The Bachelor of Public Health programme has been designed to equip students with practical and research-based competencies across epidemiology, healthcare systems, health promotion, disaster preparedness, health policy, and community health management. The programme incorporates field practicums, internships, research projects, and industry collaborations with healthcare organisations and public health entities across the UAE.
Meanwhile, the MSc Bioinformatics programme addresses the growing convergence of biology, data science, artificial intelligence, and genomics. Students will gain hands-on exposure to computational biology, molecular modelling, machine learning applications, genomics, biological databases, and high-throughput data analysis, preparing graduates for careers in biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, precision medicine, and AI-driven healthcare innovation.
The newly launched BTech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence combines core disciplines including mechanical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, and cognitive science. Through a curriculum covering robot kinematics, control systems, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and AI algorithms, students will develop the technical expertise required to design and deploy intelligent systems capable of autonomous decision-making. The programme places strong emphasis on experiential learning, integrating project-based learning, internships, and access to industry-standard platforms such as ROS/ROS 2, MATLAB & Simulink, Python, and Gazebo. Students will also have opportunities to pursue minor specialisations in areas including Mechatronics, Robotic Control Systems, Computer Vision for Robotics, Computational Intelligence, and Business Management.
MAHE Dubai has also embedded strong industry and international exposure into the BTech programme through collaborations with organisations such as Dubai Future Foundation, ABB, Phoenix Contact, National Instruments, and Nissan Arabian Automobile, alongside international academic partnerships with institutions including Deakin University in Australia and the University of Cincinnati in the United States.
On the business education front, MAHE Dubai’s newly introduced MBA programmes have been developed to align closely with evolving global and regional industry requirements. The programmes integrate business analytics, AI applications, sustainability, strategic management, digital transformation, experiential learning, and industry certifications into their curriculum design.
The MBA (Marketing) programme focuses on digital marketing, consumer insights, analytics, and AI-powered marketing tools, while the MBA in Banking and Financial Services is tailored to the evolving financial ecosystem across the GCC and MENA regions, with exposure to global finance, investment analysis, fintech trends, and strategic decision-making.
The MBA (Core) programme offers a multidisciplinary foundation across finance, operations, marketing, human resources, analytics, sustainability, and leadership, aimed at preparing graduates for managerial and leadership roles across industries.
With strong emphasis on experiential learning, research exposure, international immersion opportunities, internships, and industry partnerships, the programmes are designed to strengthen graduate employability and industry readiness in an increasingly digitally enabled global economy.
MAHE Dubai continues to build on its legacy as one of the region’s leading multidisciplinary universities, offering globally relevant education aligned with the UAE’s ambitions for innovation, sustainability, healthcare advancement, and knowledge economy development.
