Nvidia Earnings Reinforce AI Boom as Investors Look Beyond Growth

Dubai, UAE – August 27, 2026: Nvidia’s latest earnings have delivered another powerful signal that the global artificial intelligence investment cycle remains firmly intact, with the chipmaker reporting exceptional growth while raising the bar for what investors now expect from the AI sector.

Nvidia’s second-quarter revenue surged to $96.2 billion, more than doubling yearonyear, while data centre sales climbed 117%. The company also projected a further increase to roughly $108 billion in revenue for the current quarter. More strikingly, management indicated that fiscal 2028 revenue could grow by around 70% year-on-year, even as it described the outlook as constrained by supply rather than demand.

The scale of Nvidia’s growth is particularly significant for the Middle East. Fadi Abou Ras, CEO of online trading broker AvaTrade Middle East Limited explains why: “For investors in the UAE and wider Middle East, the results carry particular relevance. Governments, sovereign funds and regional technology groups continue to deploy substantial capital into AI infrastructure, while Nvidia has expanded partnerships across the UAE and neighbouring markets. The continued acceleration in Nvidia’s data-centre business therefore reinforces that this regional investment push is aligned with a powerful global trend rather than a locally isolated initiative.”

“For Middle East investors, the key question is shifting from whether the AI boom is real — Nvidia’s results make a compelling case that it is — to identifying which regional companies can convert this investment cycle into durable earnings and attractive shareholder returns.” added Fadi

Despite the strength of the numbers, Nvidia’s performance also highlights the increasingly demanding expectations priced into the AI sector. Commenting on the results, Kate Leaman, chief market analyst at AvaTrade, said: “Nvidia did what everyone expected it to do, and somehow still managed to make the numbers feel surprising. Nearly $100 billion of revenue in one quarter, more than double last year – and now the next quarter is expected to clear $100 billion. At some point you run out of normal comparisons. Companies this big are not supposed to grow like this. That is what still makes Nvidia so hard to wrap your head around.”

“What this means for the wider chip sector? This is where the story gets more interesting than just Nvidia. Higher memory prices hurt Nvidia’s margins, but someone on the other side of that transaction is benefiting. For Micron and the Korean memory makers, those same prices can mean stronger revenue and better pricing power. So if you own ‘the chip trade’ as one big idea, this is a good reminder that different parts of the sector can win for completely different reasons,” added Kate.

For investors across the UAE and wider region, Nvidia’s results therefore offer more than another headline about AI growth. They point to a maturing investment cycle in which capital expenditure, supply constraints, margins and the ability to translate AI spending into sustainable returns will increasingly determine where value accrues.
