Vice Chairman joins labour force for trending Bollywood film in rare gesture of gratitude and inclusion
Dubai, UAE: As Bollywood blockbuster Saiyarra continues to dominate headlines and heat up social media timelines, its magic spilled over from the screen to real life, thanks to a heartfelt initiative by Anis Sajan, Vice Chairman of Danube Group.
In a gesture that’s making waves across Dubai, Sajan personally arranged a full movie outing for 100 of the company’s blue-collar workers, offering them a rare opportunity to unwind, relax, and be part of the cultural moment gripping the region. From luxury buses to hot snacks and fizzy drinks, every detail of the day was curated to create an experience these unsung heroes could cherish.
“This wasn’t just about watching Saiyarra, it was about giving them two hours to exhale, to forget the grind, to just feel seen,” said Sajan, who joined the group for the screening at a popular Dubai mall cinema. “These are the hands and hearts behind our growth, and they deserve moments of joy as much as anyone else.”
Selected through a lucky draw from Danube’s 1,300-strong workforce, for many, it was their first experience stepping into a plush cinema hall. “I never thought I would watch a movie in a mall cinema, let alone with my boss,” said Mohammed Toufiq, a warehouse worker, “We came across several reels about the movie on social media, which sparked our curiosity and made us eager to watch it. I feel incredibly fortunate that we finally had the chance.”
Another employee, Kushi Alam, added, “We laughed together, we clapped together. For those few hours, we weren’t just workers, we were guests.”
More Than a Movie
As Saiyarra continues its winning streak both at the box office and across the internet, Danube’s initiative added an emotional depth to the film’s reach, bringing it to those who might have admired it only through phone screens and posters.
With full transportation and refreshments arranged, the day offered more than entertainment, it gave the workers a break from their demanding routines and a reminder that their contributions matter beyond the job site.
Amid growing emphasis on labour welfare, Danube’s move positions the company not just as an industry leader, but as a voice for inclusive corporate culture.
“Saiyarra is about dreams, and today, our workers lived one,” said Sajan. “Sometimes, the best rewards aren’t bonuses, they’re memories.”
