Samsung’s affordable Galaxy A07 5G could launch sooner than you think

The successor to one of Samsung’s most popular lineups, the affordable Galaxy A series, is starting to step out of the shadows. Dubbed the Galaxy A07 5G, the handset has broken cover, thanks to a Google Play Console listing (via TheTechOutlook), which is among the first dominoes to fall before an Android phone launches.

Per the listing, the smartphone carries the model number SM-A076B, confirming that it is indeed the purported Galaxy A07 5G. The listing also reveals other crucial details about the smartphone, including 8GB of RAM and a MediaTek Dimensity chipset with two performance cores clocked at 2.40 GHz (believed to be the Dimensity 6300 SoC).

Out of the box, the Galaxy A07 5G should run a One UI build based on Android 16. Last but not least, the phone features an HD+ screen with a 300 ppi pixel density. While this is the extent of information available about the device’s specifications, the listing also gives us our first look at it.

Apparently, the phone features a U-shaped notch at the front, thick bezels on the sides, and an even thicker chin at the bottom. While the power and volume buttons are located on the right frame, the back panel houses a vertically arranged camera module that protrudes from the otherwise flat panel.

Samsung Galaxy A07 5G render via Google Play Console Listing

From what we can see, the 5G version of the Galaxy A07 borrows its design from the 4G model released in September 2025. Put together, the listing paints a clear picture: the Galaxy A07 5G isn’t trying to stand out in a market full of entry-level 5G handsets. Instead, it’s going for refinement.

The Galaxy A07 4G, which is already available in several regions, comes with Samsung’s promise to provide six years of operating system updates, a feature that attracts long-term buyers toward the handset, and the upcoming Galaxy A07 5G shouldn’t be any different.
