UAE Brokers Driving Multi-Billion AED Deals Compete at Exclusive MERED Padel Tournament

Dubai, UAE – 05 February 2026: MERED, the award-winning international real estate developer, hosted its first padel tournament as a targeted industry engagement, bringing together senior brokers from the UAE’s leading real estate agencies for a high-level networking and competition experience. Held at Padel Edition, the invitation-only tournament was designed to strengthen relationships with brokers who collectively influence multi-billion-dirham property transactions across Dubai and the wider UAE.

The event convened 32 teams from 32 top brokerage houses, alongside one MERED team, creating a focused environment for dialogue, collaboration, and peer connection among decision-makers shaping the residential and investment market. The venue operated at full capacity, offering a premium setting that combined sport, competition, and informal engagement, aligned with how business relationships increasingly form beyond traditional meeting rooms.

Michael Belton, CEO of MERED, said: “At MERED, we see our relationship with brokers as a long-term partnership built on trust, insight, and shared ambition. This tournament was designed to bring the brokerage community who shape the UAE’s real estate market every day together. Creating space for leading brokers to connect and exchange perspectives strengthens collaboration across the industry and the ecosystem around our developments. As Dubai closed 2025 with Dh682.5 billion in property sales, meaningful engagement with those driving this growth is essential to how we operate and how we build lasting value.”

Winners across both categories were recognised with trophies, cash prizes, and Pininfarina gift bags. In Category A, first place went to Muhammad Rakeeb Dawood and Ann Marie Ahola of Savills. Second place was awarded to Peter Ronald Harry Smithson and Peter Francis Nicholas Blenman of Dubai Sothebys, with Younes Hassan Al Arab and Louis Faris Al Arab of Dubai Sothebys finishing third. In Category B, Irina Artemenko and Danil Bobokhanov of Inside Premium Properties LLC claimed first place. Elizaveta Skonnikova and Oleksandr Maslak of MIO Real Estate took second, while Lama Mortada and Youssif Saadallah Rizk of Stage Properties placed third.

The tournament is part of MERED’s expanding presence in professional padel. In 2025, the brand became the first UAE real estate developer to enter the sport through its Iconic Legends and Talent Program, backing elite players including former World No.1 Maxi Sánchez alongside Alex Arroyo, Edu Alonso, Fran Guerrero, and Marc Quílez, who compete internationally under the MERED name. This commitment extends into the brand’s developments, where every project includes a professional grade padel court as part of its resident lifestyle offering.

Padel continues to gain traction as a networking platform within the real estate sector, reflecting broader lifestyle shifts among industry leaders. With Dubai and Abu Dhabi ranked among the world’s top 10 cities for ultra-wealthy residents, population growth and a deepening international buyer base are sustaining demand for high-quality residential developments, reinforcing the importance of strong broker relationships in a market shaped by resilient end-user demand.
