On Tuesday last week, Ras Al Khaimah Police announced a speed limit increase on a major road in the emirate, increasing the limit from 100km per hour to 120km per hour on the Al Watan Road.

In November 2023, authorities in Dubai reduced the speed limit of a key stretch on Al Ittihad Road from 100km per hour to 80km per hour.

The new speed limit applies from the Sharjah-Dubai border on Al Ittihad Road and extends to Al Garhoud Bridge.

Traffic signs along Al Ittihad Road have been updated to reflect the new maximum speed limit. Red lines mark the beginning of the speed reduction zone. Radars on the road have been adjusted accordingly.
