Dubai, UAE: Union Coop has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its private-label portfolio, which currently includes more than 1,000 products, with additional items under development. The initiative forms part of the cooperative’s efforts to provide high-quality products at suitable and competitive prices while meeting the evolving needs and expectations of customers and shoppers.

Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, said the cooperative’s private-label range covers a broad spectrum of food and non-food categories. These include poultry, fresh milk, essential grocery items such as flour and pasta, as well as cleaning products and disposable-use items.

Al Hashemi said: “We continue to develop our private-label products in line with customer expectations, particularly as shoppers increasingly seek a combination of high quality and competitive pricing. Our focus is to ensure that these products deliver added value while offering a diverse range of options that meet customers’ everyday needs.”

He added that locally produced vegetables represent an important part of Union Coop’s daily supply, noting that supporting local products remains a key priority for the cooperative. Union Coop continues to strengthen the presence of locally sourced products across its assortment and provide greater visibility and accessibility for customers.

Al Hashemi further noted that Union Coop imports food products from more than 25 countries worldwide, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China, India, Poland and Türkiye. This diversified sourcing strategy supports supply continuity and enables the cooperative to offer customers a broad selection of products from international markets.

He explained that direct imports of vegetables and fresh produce are sourced primarily from Spain, Lebanon, Morocco and Thailand, helping maintain the availability of fresh products while providing customers with greater variety and choice.
