You can now pre-order Anker’s Solix E10 smart hybrid home backup system

After showcasing its latest home power backup products at CES last week, Anker has now officially launched the Solix E10. Touted as the “world’s first smart hybrid whole-home backup system,” the Solix E10 combines a smart fuel generator, battery storage, and solar input with auto and manual switch options to deliver near-infinite backup capability.

Anker says a single Solix E10 unit can provide up to 37.2kW power, enough to start high-power appliances like a 5-ton air conditioner. It can also be paired with another unit to provide 66kW output, or with two additional units to reach 90kW. When paired with an Anker Power Dock, the E10 is capable of powering every household circuit, allowing users to seamlessly use any appliance during an outage.

The Power Dock features a 20ms automatic switch that transitions to backup power without damaging connected appliances. Alternatively, buyers can pair the Solix E10 with a Smart Inlet Box for a more cost-effective setup, though this option requires manual switchover during outages.

The Solix E10 supports 9kW of solar input, which can charge its 6.14kW battery in around 40 minutes. Anker says it’s compatible with all solar panels, including rigid, portable, and third-party AC solar systems. Buyers can also charge the battery directly with the smart generator via a DC connection, which can extend backup duration by up to five times compared to traditional AC generators.

Pre-orders kick off today, sales begin February 4

Interested buyers can pre-order the Solix E10 from Anker’s website starting today, with general availability set for February 4. The base system, which includes an inverter and a battery, is priced at $4,299, while the base system bundled with the Smart Inlet Box is priced at $4,599.

Price rises to $5,799 for the Solix E10 and Power Dock combo, with the top-end tier bundle that adds the Smart Generator coming in at $7,399. All configurations include a standard 5-year warranty, with pre-orders receiving an additional 3-year extension. Early buyers can snag a $500 coupon and a gift pack valued at over $1,500, which includes a 400W solar panel, with a $10 pre-order deposit.
