Xreal’s latest entry-level AR glasses give you sharper visuals for less

Xreal is back at CES 2026 with an updated take on its entry-level AR glasses. The new Xreal 1S builds on last year’s Xreal One with a handful of notable upgrades and a $50 price cut.

Although the Xreal 1S looks largely unchanged on the outside, Xreal has bumped the resolution from 1080p to 1200p and increased the brightness from 600 to 700 nits. The field of view (FoV) and aspect ratio have also been upgraded, going from 50-degrees and 16:9 on last year’s model to 52-degrees and 16:10.

The refresh rate is still capped at 120Hz, but Xreal has reinforced the USB-C port on the Xreal 1S and upgraded the carrying case to enhance durability. Another noteworthy addition is Real 3D, a new feature that can convert any 2D video content into 3D using the X1 spatial computing chip.

Turn 2D content into 3D on the fly

According to Xreal, this feature “requires no apps or special software, has no DRM restrictions, and no proprietary players.” Users can simply enable the feature in the glasses settings to enjoy any content in immersive 3D. In addition to the Xreal 1S, the Real 3D feature will roll out to the Xreal 1 Pro via an OTA update.

Talking about the new glasses, Xreal’s co-founder and CEO, Chi Xu, said, “Every Xreal One Series product has raised the bar for what wearable displays can achieve. With Xreal 1S, we’re not only lowering the cost of entry, we’re doing so while boosting specs and performance, and improving optics. We’re proud to deliver Xreal 1S and maintain Xreal’s leadership position at the center of the conversation for innovation, design, and entertainment in AR.”

The Xreal 1S is priced at $449 and is already up for sale in the US through the company’s website, Amazon, and Best Buy.
