Agreement signed at GISEC Global 2026 coincides with the launch of sovereign cloud environments to support critical government and AI workloads.
September 29, 2026, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Core42, a G42 company specializing in sovereign enabled cloud and AI infrastructure, signed an agreement with the UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC) to advance Signature Sovereign AI Cloud in the UAE. The two organizations will leverage Core42’s existing Signature Private Cloud offerings with advanced AI infrastructure, designed around the country’s sovereignty requirements.
The agreement was signed at GISEC Global 2026 in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, and Talal M. Al Kaissi, Chief Executive Officer of Core42.
Government entities and regulated industries are adopting cloud and AI for increasingly critical operations. Doing so requires environments that protect national data, provide clear operational control and meet the security standards of critical government systems. The collaboration brings together the CSC’s national cybersecurity mandate and Core42’s sovereign enabled cloud capabilities to address these needs.
Signature Sovereign AI Cloud is suitable for organizations running Secret and Top-Secret cloud and AI workloads that require greater control over their data, infrastructure and operations while leveraging the versatility of a platform suitable for AI enablement. Core42 and the CSC will work together to define how the platform can support the UAE’s specific security and sovereignty requirements.
The agreement also covers cybersecurity knowledge exchange, threat awareness, technical engagement and preparedness. This may include workshops, working sessions, conferences, educational visits and training programs focused on emerging cyber risks and the resilience of ICT and sovereign cloud environments.

Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, said, “As AI becomes part of critical government operations, cybersecurity and the ability to run on approved sovereign infrastructure must be considered from the beginning. Our role is to ensure these technologies are adopted within frameworks that protect national data, strengthen resilience and maintain trust.
