During CES, Hisense spent much of its time talking about its massive (and massively bright) mini-LED TVs for 2024. However, it also teased us with its CanvasTV, a model that rivals Samsung’s very popular The Frame TV, which lets users display hi-resolution art whenever the TV isn’t being used for watching movie or TV content. I say “teased” because other than a promotional image, we were told almost nothing about the CanvasTV. Lush greenery could carpet the beach sands of Dubai as millions of mangroves dot 72km of the Emirate’s coastline, according to plans of a project unveiled this week. Billed ‘Dubai Mangroves’, the project envisions planting more than 100 million mangrove trees. Dubai-based sustainable cities developer URB told Khaleej Times that the project — which is currently in research and development stage — is proposed to be realised by 2040 in six phases. A son of Sudan’s army chief and de-facto leader Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, who was seriously injured in a road accident in Turkey, died in hospital, local media reported on Friday. Mohammed Fattah Al Burhan Rahmane was riding his motorbike in Turkey’s capital, Ankara, in March when he collided with a utility vehicle and was thrown several metres off his bike.
