Motorola Edge 70 Fusion combines a bright curved display with military-grade ruggedness

Alongside the new Razr Fold, Motorola unveiled a new mid-range smartphone during MWC 2026 (Mobile World Congress). The Edge 70 Fusion brings a compelling set of features aimed at buyers who want a big screen, good battery life, and a rugged build without a premium price tag.

What does it offer?

On the front, it sports a 6.78-inch quad-curved OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and HDR10+ support. With a peak brightness of 5,200nits, you can expect great legibility even under direct sunlight. Durability was definitely a focus with this phone, featuring an IP68 + IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification for military-grade ruggedness, and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 7i for the display. While it isn’t as thin as the Edge 70, the overall look remains quite similar.

Under the hood, Motorola equips the Edge 70 Fusion with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC (Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in India), paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. While certain regions get a massive 7,000mAh cell, regions like Europe get a smaller, yet respectable, 5,200mAh battery that supports 68W wired fast charging. It also runs on the latest Android 16 OS with promises of 3 major updates and 4 years of security patches.

The rear packs a dual camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, while the front houses a 32MP selfie shooter. Other key specifications include Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6, an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning.

Pricing and availability

Motorola announced the Edge 70 Fusion in three color variants, namely ANTONE Orient Blue, PANTONE Sporting Green, and PANTONE Silhouette with unique textured rear panels for a nylon and linen finish. In Europe, this model starts for €429.99 (just over $500). It will be rolling out in other regions like Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific.
