For November, Disney+ is turning to a surprising source for its flagship show of the month: Doctor Who. Of course, it wasn’t that surprising to anyone who saw the industry news when Disney and BBC announced that deal last year. The first Doctor Who 60th anniversary special is coming on November 25, but at least three more specials this year are to be followed by season 14 in 2024.
This month also has the second seasons of two Disney+ original series: The Santa Clauses and Behind the Attraction. But if you missed last month’s standout Marvel show, you can always use the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to catch up on Marvel Studios’ Loki.
Disney+ doesn’t always have new programs that can match the impact of its Star Wars and Marvel shows. But Doctor Who and the upcoming fantasy series Percy Jackson and the Olympians series may start to change that. However, you’ll have to wait until 2024 to see the new seasons for both of those shows. For now, these are the best shows on Disney+.
If you’re not already subscribed, the Disney Bundle is worth considering. With it, you get Disney+, ESPN, and the ad-supported Hulu plan, making it an impressive value for the price. You’ll enjoy new Disney content, live sports coverage, and Hulu’s various originals.
