The weather today is expected to be partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times over some coastal, northern and eastern areas with a chance of rainfall during daytime, as per a forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology.
The NCM has issued red and yellow alerts in some parts of the country.
The Abu Dhabi Police called on motorists to exercise caution due to reduced visibility. They are urged to follow changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.
The authority also activated the speed reduction system to 80km/hr on Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Road (Al-Faqaa – Al-Hiyar) and Sweihan road (Nahil- Al-Hiya).
