“The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World” campaign is driving the real estate sector and establishing a generation of Emirati real estate investors.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Monday, September 22, 2025

Waleed Al Zarooni,  W Capital  CEO, praised the launch of the national campaign “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World” stressing that it represents a strategic step towards consolidating the UAE’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurship and a strong driver of vital economic sectors, most notably the real estate sector.

Al Zarooni emphasized that the campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will provide higher prospects for Emirati youth to enter the job market through entrepreneurship. It will also directly contribute to stimulating the real estate market by encouraging the establishment of start-ups and providing an incubator environment for new projects that require commercial and residential space.

“The real estate sector will be one of the biggest beneficiaries of this ambitious campaign. With 10,000 new entrepreneurs expected to be incubated, demand for offices, trade fairs, and modern residential complexes will increase, enhancing the growth of the real estate sector and driving further innovation in project development,” Al Zarooni said.

He pointed out that the campaign’s initiatives, such as supporting the establishment of 250 Emirati real estate companies and agencies, reflect a clear direction toward empowering national talent and actively engaging them in shaping the future of real estate. He believes that the campaign is a qualitative step toward diversifying the economy and increasing Emirati ownership in real estate brokerage and services companies.

The CEO proposed developing a national initiative under the campaign’s umbrella, titled “Emirati Real Estate Leadership,” which aims to train a new generation of Emirati entrepreneurs specializing in the real estate sector through specialized training programs and real estate business incubators, and granting them licenses and financial support to establish competitive real estate companies within the UAE.

“We need to support the culture of real estate entrepreneurship, so that young Emiratis are not just investors, but leaders of sustainable real estate projects that keep pace with market developments and benefit from the advanced infrastructure and stimulating legislation that the country enjoys,” he added.

Al Zarooni confirmed that The UAE is today leading a new phase of economic empowerment, and ” The Startup Capital of the World” campaign represents an open invitation to every Emirati to be an active partner in shaping the future and a true platform for strengthening the UAE’s position as a global hub for entrepreneurship and real estate investment.”
