Xiaomi’s 240Hz gaming monitor has a Night Vision trick for sweaty lobbies

Xiaomi has launched a new gaming monitor that brings the usual high refresh rate and snappy response time. But the real kicker here is a new Night Vision, which might be built-in hacks in some scenarios. The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G25i 2026 has officially been listed on Xiaomi’s global website, confirming its rollout in Europe and other global markets.

What’s special about this Chinese gaming monitor?

The real saucy part of the spec sheet is the monitor’s Night Vision feature. Xiaomi describes it as a way to “detect enemies in dark environments and lock onto hidden targets,” which is basically marketing-speak for making shadowy corners less forgiving. Xiaomi has yet to explain how this mode actually works, but the marketing materials claim that this is an aiming assist feature.

While this won’t be as necessary in narrative-driven single-player games, multiplayer titles are another thing entirely. Some new titles, like Arc Raiders, have dedicated “Night Raids” for a darker, more immersive experience. Players have found workarounds through this via monitor settings and contrast/brightness tweaking, but the Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G25i 2026 seems to have this out of the box.

The rest of the specs are solid

Underneath the cheeky visibility trick, this is a pretty straightforward gaming monitor. It sports a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms gray-to-gray response time. Xiaomi also includes FreeSync Premium, which should help reduce tearing and stutter during fast-paced play.

Xiaomi’s official listing also mentions 93% DCI-P3 wide color gamut coverage, along with 400 nits of typical brightness, and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. This model is a budget gaming monitor that costs around €180, though official pricing and local availability details are still unclear.
