August 21st 2025 : Dubai, UAE: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has announced the launch of a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MScBA) degree, to empower professionals to transform complex data into actionable business intelligence in a technology-driven economy. The launch responds to the UAE’s national digital development agenda by cultivating a new generation of data-informed leadership, that supports strategic decision making in an increasingly complex business landscape.

CUD’s Master of Science in Business Analytics will empower professionals to transform complex data into actionable business intelligence in a technology-driven economy

The new program is designed to meet the growing demand for analytical talent across critical sectors such as finance, healthcare, government, and retail. With a strong emphasis on real-world application, it blends rigorous technical training with strategic insight to prepare graduates for leadership roles at the intersection of business analytics, data science, and artificial intelligence. For professionals aiming to build foundations in the field, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Analytics is also available as a stand-alone credential or as a stepping-stone into the master’s degree.

The MScBA is uniquely positioned to address talent gaps in the region through customization based on an applicant’s individual academic background. Core courses including Data Management & Visualization, Statistics for Data Analytics, Programming for Data Analytics, Information Assurance, Data Sciences, and Data Analytics for Managers ensure that graduates are both technically proficient and strategically minded, to influence organizational decisions at the highest levels. Career paths include roles such as Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Scientist, Chief Analytics Officer, Chief Operations Analyst, Information Architect, or Data Modeler.

Designed with working professionals in mind, the MScBA offers a flexible schedule, delivered at CUD’s downtown Dubai campus, in the heart of the city’s business district. Central to the curriculum is an Applied Research Project or Dissertation which encourages students to explore their own work environments and tackle real-world business challenges with data-driven approaches. The program learning outcomes emphasize persuasive communication of insights, multidisciplinary teamwork, and lifelong learning, to cultivate graduates’ leadership capacity.

The launch of the MScBA reinforces CUD’s ongoing commitment to supporting national priorities, including economic diversification and digital transformation, through innovative, industry-aligned academic programs.

Dr. Adam Fenech, Provost at Canadian University Dubai, commented:
“As Provost of Canadian University Dubai, I am proud to witness the launch of the Master of Science in Business Analytics, a program that exemplifies our mission to bridge academic excellence with industry transformation. In today’s data-driven world, organizations are seeking leaders who can transform complex information into actionable strategies. This program not only equips students with technical expertise, but also cultivates the critical thinking and leadership skills required to drive innovation across sectors.”

Speaking about the launch, Dr. Mohamed Noureldin Abdelhakim, Program Director of the MScBA, said, “The MScBA at CUD equips students with the tools and mindset to transform complex data into strategic business insights, empowering them to lead data-driven organizations across the UAE and global markets. The program supports the UAE’s ambitious vision to become a global leader in digital innovation, and we are proud to be contributing to that journey through world-class education and applied research.”
