After a long and tumultuous road, the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch is finally in sight. Yellowstone season 5, part 2 returns with six new episodes starting very soon. Since the last episode aired in January 2023, Yellowstone has been in the news, mostly for reasons behind the camera, with the biggest storyline being the departure of Kevin Costner as John Dutton.
Regardless of Costner’s status, Yellowstone remains as popular as ever and will become a ratings monster over the next month. Yellowstone season 5, part 2 premieres at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, November 10, 2024. The episode will air on Paramount Network.

It’s important to note that Yellowstone airs on Paramount Network, not Paramount+. You can watch Paramount Network on cable television or through Paramount Network’s website. You will need to log in with a TV provider for access.
Just because Paramount Network is a cable channel does not mean you need a cable box. Live streaming TV services — including Hulu with Live TV, Fubo, Philo, and YouTube TV — offer Paramount Network without a cable subscription. Many times, these live streaming TV services are cheaper, with some offering free trials.
Where else is Yellowstone airing?
If you miss the Yellowstone premiere at 8 p.m. ET/PT, flip to CBS later on in the night for a replay. CBS will re-air the premiere at 10 p.m. ET/PT following a new episode of Tracker.
Can you stream the Yellowstone season 5, part 2 premiere on Peacock or Paramount+?
This is where things get complicated. The answer is no; Yellowstone season 5, part 2 will not be available to stream the next day on Peacock or Paramount+. Because of a licensing deal when the show first came out, previous seasons of Yellowstone do not live on Paramount+.
Instead, Yellowstone’s streaming home is Peacock. Season 1 through season 5, part 1 is now streaming on Peacock. Season 5, part 2 episodes will not be accessible on Peacock at this time. Usually, all the episodes have to air on Paramount Network before they stream on Peacock.
Yellowstone season 5, part 2 premiere plot
The Yellowstone season 5, part 2 premiere is titled Desire Is All You Need. Paramount Network’s logline for the episode reads: “After an event rattles the state of Montana, nothing will ever be the same.”
Yellowstone’s premise revolves around the Duttons, a powerful family who run the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the U.S., the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. Between shifting family dynamics and opportunistic enemies, the Duttons are constantly fighting to stay in power and build on their legacy.
Yellowstone season 5, part 2 cast
Most of Yellowstone’s principal cast will be returning for season 5, part 2. This includes Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton, Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Wes Bentley as Jamie Dutton, Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler, Kelsey Asbille as Monica Long Dutton, and Gil Birmingham as Chief Thomas Rainwater.
Costner is still the big wild card. Costner announced his departure from the series in June. However, the recent trailer features Costner’s John Dutton several times, hinting that he may have a role in these six episodes.
Is this the final season of Yellowstone?
That’s the million-dollar question. Yellowstone season 5, part 2 was originally billed as the final season. However, reports have stated that Yellowstone season 6 is in the works, with Reilly and Hauser in negotiations to return. In a recent interview, Yellowstone director Christina Voros could not give a definitive answer about the future of the hit series.
“I think the degree of secrecy that went into it, the vibe was definitely that we were protecting a conclusion,” said Voros about the finale and if the show will continue. “As far as what the future holds? I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.”
